Meet the Team
Luke Farnworth
Managing Director
Luke is a young performer. He has performed in many professional and amatuer productions. In 2009 he landed a role in the hit musical Scrooge staring Tommy Steele. He feels that it was a "great achievement". He has a huge passion for the arts but also an equally big passion for business. In the summer of 2009, Luke decided to combine those passions into one venture called Stage Door Mag. After 3 months of planning, Stage Door Mag was ready and in January 2010, the next storm to the net was launched. After many well known radio stations and companies took such an interest in Stage Door Mag, along with creative director Tom Brown, it was ready to re launch the site to what it is today! Luke continually thanks those who give him help and support throughout his venture.
Tom Brown
Creative Director
Tom is 19 years old and currently attends the stage school London Studio Centre, studying for a BA(Hons) in Theatre Dance. He has appeared in numorous productions at the old Haymarket Theatre (Leicester), performed with Leicester Amatuer Operatics Society, Knighton Park Amatuer Operatics Society, the English Youth Ballet, Guthlaxton College and was in Simply Cinderella, the first production at Leicesters new Curve Theatre, directed by Adam Cooper where he performed for and met the Queen. He has just recently finished filming on a short film called 'Boy Keeps Swinging', where he played the leading role. Tom also has a strong passion for graphical and web design, and Stage Door Mag provides him with the opportunity to combine both of these passions.
Aimee Beswick
Photographer
Aimee is currently studying a National Diploma in Photography at Leicester College, and after hearing about Stage Door Mag from Creative Director Tom, saw a great opportunity to gain experience in the subject and build up a portfolio outside of college. She has a huge passion for the subject, having previously danced up until the age of 16 at The Pirouette Academy of Dance (Wigston, Leicester) she also shares the passion and enthusiasm for Stage Door Mag and the inspiration it hopes to give to young performers. A budding musician herself, Aimee studied an Access to Music course at school from years 10 - 12, during the course she was in a band, they had to create their own music and write their own lyrics. Aimee was lead vocalist and very much enjoyed the creative side of the course, she even got the chance to perform at one of Leicester's popular music venues, The Shed. Aimee is looking forward to working with the Stage Door team and thinks it is going to be a fun, and fulfilling experience.
